Pack 294 initially started by a group of citizens in 1945 as Pack 94 in Sumner, Washington with James C. Hall as its initial Cubmaster and 17 scouts. The initial pack only lasted 2 years.
In 1960, Pack 94 was reinstated in Tacoma at St. Charles Borromeo as the chartered organization. St. Charles Borromeo has been our home ever since! In 1975, the Pack was designated as Pack 294.
Pack 294 was recognized as a Gold Unit in 2019 and 2020 for achieving high marks in a variety of categories in the annual Journey to Excellence program.
Pack 294 owes its long history to the many parents and volunteers who have stepped in to lead the Pack and its dens over the years. Some of the families of our Pack (both as Pack 94 and as Pack 294) have sent multiple generations through Scouting. One of the Cubmasters was even a Scout in the Pack as a child!
